How to Make a Printer Online
Printer offline problem is pretty common nowadays. A user can experience this problem due to several reasons. Printer offline issues can be caused due to connectivity issues or paper jams. A user may also face printer offline problem due to the use of corrupt or outdated drivers.
Additionally, this issue may occur because of hardware-related problems. Once you get to know the root cause of the printer offline problem, it can get fixed by applying the solution. Nevertheless, there are cases where applying the solution isn’t sufficient. In such scenarios, you will be required to bring your printer online on Windows 10 manually.
Steps to Follow to Make Printer Online in Windows 10
Step 1: Go to the Start button and then go to the option of Device Manager and click on it.

Step 2: On the Device Manager screen, click on the Action tab and then from the drop-down menu, select the option of Devices and Printers.

Step 3: Now, on the next screen, right-click on the option of printer offline and then select the option of see what’s printing.

Step 4: After that, go to the option of “Use Printer Offline” and uncheck it. Now, wait for the printer to come online.

Step 5: The moment your printer comes online, it will begin printing the documents lined up in the queue.
Troubleshooting Steps to Fix Printer Offline Problem in Windows 10
In case, your printer comes online for a short duration and then goes offline again, then try out the following troubleshooting steps to fix your printer offline problem.
Step 1: Launch the Start menu and then click on settings.
Step 2: Settings screen will open up. There, enter troubleshooting in the search bar and then press enter or click on the search icon.
Step 3: Now, select the printer option and run the troubleshooter.
Step 4: Once you run the troubleshooter, it will start showing up suggestions to you for fixing the issue. It may suggest you to either update the driver or to set your printer device as the default printer. There can be some other suggestions as well.
Step 5: Now, select the option of “Apply This Fix” and then carry out the directions appearing on the screen.
