Why I am Unable to Install HP Printer Driver on Windows 7 OS?

Yesterday, I downloaded driver for my  HP DeskJet 2130 printer. After downloading driver, when I connect my computer (win 7) to printer, “unable to connect, please try again” message displays on the screen. I have also tried running diagnosis but still same error persists. I have also uninstalled drivers and then reinstall on my system but still the problem is same. Can anybody tell me some concrete steps that could really help? Thanks!

Install HP Printer driver on Windows 7 OS -

Downloading HP printer drivers 

1. Navigate to HP website and then click on “Support and Drivers” link. After this, you have to choose the “Drivers & Software” navigation option.
2. Under the Product Category section, you have to choose “Printing & Malfunction”. In the given space, you have to enter your printer’s model number and then select the Printers in the navigation menu. From the product list, choose your printer’s proper model.
3. In the navigation menu, you have to click on “Download Drivers & Software” and then choose your operating system. With the management software, just review your basic drivers. Choose a particular driver and click on Download button.
4. Choose Save and then Browse option and then save the file on your desktop.

Installing HP printer drivers

1. Open that folder where you have saved the downloaded driver.
2. After this, press double click on downloaded file to start the installation process.
3. If your system prompts you for approval then press OK button to authorize the installation.
4. Start the installation process and follow on-screen instructions step by step.
5. You can also select the custom installation or recommended installation. If you are choosing recommended version then all components will automatically install that you need. On the other hand, if you are choosing custom installation then you have to choose the options that you want.
