Why is My Printer Not Printing?

Causes of Printer Won't Print Issue?

Printer won't print issue can occur due to various reasons. This error can occur because of internet connection issues. You may also face this problem because of paper jam issues. Empty ink cartridges can also lead to this problem. Incorrect driver installation can also cause these kinds of issues.

This Way to Resolve Printer Not Printing Issues :

You may come across printer not printing issues due to various reasons. Here, we have mentioned some solutions that can help you get rid of this problem. 

1) Ensure That the Paper Tray is Not Jammed

Even if your printer has paper, it is always advisable to put more paper in the tray. Sometimes, the paper is loaded but the printer fails to grab it. In such a case, re-align the paper, and remove the paper tray.

Paper jammed mechanism can also cause this issue. In order to fix this problem, you need to open the access panel and then remove the crumpled paper. Also, ensure that there are no bits of paper stuck in the rollers. 

2) Please Make Sure That You are Using the Right Printer

Sometimes, we make the simple mistake of giving print commands from the wrong printer. This is a common mistake and it may happen if you have paired your computer with multiple printer devices at work. You may also experience this issue if you are using a new printer at home. So, ensure that the right printer device is selected for the printing work. 

3) Install the Right Drivers

When you connect your printer to the computer, Windows will start looking for the required drivers. However, in some cases, you may have to go to the main website of the printer manufacturer and then search for your printer model on the support page. After that, download and install the drivers manually. 

4) Check Your Ink 

Another thing that can help you resolve printer not printing problem is dirty or clogged ink cartridges. Therefore, it is essential to clean the printer and all the cartridges using the built-in cleaning utility of your printer. Take a wet towel and use it to clean the opening area of your ink cartridges. Check if the ink is flowing freely from the opening area. If yes, then reinstall the cartridges in your printer. 

5) Run a Self-Test on Your Printer

If the above-mentioned solutions don't help you resolve your problem, then you must run some tests on your printer to determine the cause of your problem. Try to print a test page and check if it helps you. To run a self-test, you need to turn on your printer. After that, turn on your printer and then navigate to Settings, Devices and then finally go to Printers and Scanners. Choose your printer and then select the option of Manage, Print a Test page. 

On Mac, launch System Settings and then select the option of Printers and Scanners. Then, you need to select the name of your printer device. There, you need to choose Open Print Queue, select Printer and then finally click on the option of Print Test Page. If the test print produced on your printer is fine but an error is appearing on your PC, then that means there is a software problem that needs to be resolved immediately.
