Question

How do I Get My Dell V313W Printer to Connect to My WiFi?

I have recently bought a Dell V313W wireless printer for my home needs. I am using a Windows 7 PC and iiNet is my service provider. I am also using a Netgear wireless router for my home network. The problem here is my new Dell printer is not connecting to the wifi network of my home. Although I have configured it using the cabled connection but the wireless function is still not working. Can anyone here tell me what the issue is and how can I resolve it?

Connect Dell v313w Printer to WiFi -

  1. First of all, you have to insert installation CD that came with your Dell V313W printer into your computer. Also, confirm one thing i.e., the computer you are using is connected to the network.
  2. Now, take USB cable that came along with your printer, and connect your Dell V313W printer to the computer.
  3. After connecting Dell printer to the computer, go to your desktop and then tap on Start > All Programs.
  4. Next, click on Dell printers> Dell Printer Home.
  5. Click on Settings > Dell v313w Wireless Setup Utility. From the list of available network, choose your WiFi network and then click on Continue button.
  6. For connecting to WiFi network, the password is also needed so just enter the correct password and click on Connect button.
  7. Now a dialog box will pop-up on the screen asking if you want to allow Dell software to access your network. Just click on Continue button and proceed to next step.
  8. Then you have to disconnect USB cable when you are prompted to do so. Now you can print by connecting Dell v313w printer to wifi.
