I have a Canon MX432 Printer at home and it is wireless. The printer has been working fine for quite some time but last night the problems started. My Canon printer is printing double letters for some reason. I restarted it and checked the ink cart ridges for any issue but the ink is well above the danger mark and I could not figure out anything else. Can anyone here suggest any solution for this issue?
Hello David, there is no need to get worried if your Canon printer is printing double letters.
Step 1: Firstly open the Setting panel by pressing Windows key+ W. Next, go to search bar and type “printers” in it.
Step 2: From the displaying results, choose “Devices and Printers” option. After this, move to Printers and Faxes and then press a right click on your Canon Printer.
Step 3: From the context menu, choose “Printers Preferences” and then choose Maintenance option.
Step 4: Next, tap print Head Alignment. For confirmation, you need to tap on “Align Print Head”. Now your Canon printer will align the print head automatically.
Step 5: If the automatic alignment fails to resolve the double printing problem canon then align the print head manually. For this, tap on “Print Alignment Value” and then follow the onscreen instructions to choose the appropriate pattern from the printout.
Whenever your Canon printer prints double letters then, first of all, you should check printer nozzles. Because of the printer nozzles are clogged then definitely your Canon printer will print double characters.
Step 1: Go to the Start button and then head towards Control Panel.
Step 2: After this, press double click on “Printers & Faxes”.
Step 3: Now you are redirected to the next window, where first search your Canon printer and then press right click on it to choose “Properties”.
Step 4: Then select the Maintenance tab> Nozzle Check.
Step 5: Now a pattern will print on the sheet that you have inserted already into your machine.
Carefully check the pattern that is printed on the sheet. If you find out that nozzles are clogged then perform a nozzle cleaning as it will help to troubleshoot your Canon printer’s problem.
After this method, go to same maintenance window and tap on “Head Alignment”. Now you have to print a pattern on the page in the same way that you did earlier. Check printer pattern and then follow on-screen prompts. Then, print a test page and check if your Canon printer is still printing double characters or not.
Well! I hope your printer will print appropriately at this moment.
