How to Setup a Canon Printer?

Canon Printer Setup:

Canon printer can be use in two ways:-

• Wireless Connection.
• USB Connection.

Setup Canon Printer by Wireless Connection Method-

There are some conditions that must be met in order to use the printer Wirelessely:-

• The access point must have a physical WPS push button available.
• Network must be using the WPA(Wi-Fi protected Access)or WPA2 security protocol.

There are Some Steps to Connect Canon Printer Wirelessly:-

Step 1 : Make sure that the printer is turned on.

Step 2 :Then Press & hold the [Wi-Fi]button on the top of the printer until the alarm lamp flashes once.

Step 3 : Then make sure that the lamp next to this button starts to flash blue.

Step 4 : Then go to your access point and press [WPS]button within 2 minutes.

To confirm that your Canon printer is successfully connected to your wireless network, you can print out the network settings of your printer if you wish:

1. Make sure that your printer is turned on.
2. Load a sheet of A4 or letter-sized plain paper.
3. Press &hold the [Resume/cancel]button until the alarm lamp flashes 15 times,and then release it.
4. The network information page will be printed.

Setup Canon Printer by USB Connection Method-

Step 1 : After inserting the Setup CD-ROM into your computer ,click the option to run MSETUP4.EXE.

Step 2 : When the setup program begins,then click Start setup.

Step 3 : Click next.

Step 4 : On the license Agreement screen ,read through the agreement and click yes.if you click No the installation will not proceed.

Step 5 : The setup program will process information for a few moments

Step 6 : Click Next on the Please Allow All Install wizard processes message.

Step 7 : On the Select Connection Method screen,click the radio button for USB Connection and click next.

Step 8 : Then printer driver will be installed.After that you will be prompted to connect a USB cable between the printer and computer.

Step 9 : Connect a USB cable to the computer and printer.The installer will detect that the printer has been connected.

Step 10 : After the drivers have finished installing ,click Next on the Print Head Alignment Recommended screen.

Step 11 : On the Test Print screen, click Execute if you wish to perform a test print . Click Next to proceed.

Step 12 : When Setup Complete appears, click Next.
