Question

My Canon IP 3500 Printer Won't Print Says Not Connected When it Is

I have printed from my Canon IP 3500 printer from 2 months with no problems. But suddenly today, after printing 10 pages, my printer take the paper in and pretends it is printing. But actually it wraps the paper around the exit rollers and a blank page come out of the printer. I don’t understand what’s going on with my Canon printer. Also, the green light in my printer is illuminating showing that printer is connected but actually printer is not printing anything.

Answer - 1

If your Canon printer won’t print anything then -

  1. First of all, check the wired connection between your Canon printer and computer. If USB data cable is not properly connected or loosely connected then your Canon printer will not respond to print commands.
  2. In next step, you have to fill the paper tray of your Kodak printer. Make sure the printer has sufficient sheet of paper otherwise your Canon printer is unable to print the document.
  3. Open that particular document that you want to print and then select Print. Tap on printer selection and then select Canon printer. If you have not chosen your Canon printer as the go-to printer then your printer will not receive any requests or commands that you supply via your operating system.
  4. Now, install Canon printer drivers on your operating system. If you have not installed printer drivers then your operating system will not send the request to the printer. Although the required drivers are also available on the Canon printer installation CD. Just insert the CD that came along with Canon printer and then follows on-screen prompts of the installation wizard.
  5. Also, check the ink cartridges for your Canon printer. If the ink cartridges are running out of ink then your printer will not print any document.
