Can't Connect Canon G3200 Printer to WiFi?

I recently bought a G3200 Canon printer. I'm trying to connect it to the wifi and the instructions say to hold the wifi button until the on lamp flashes, however the power button is already constantly flashing and the wifi light is constantly lit. No matter how long I hold the wifi button, nothing changes. I've tried holding it, then pressing the colour button, then pressing wifi again. This is suppose to make the power button stay lit and the wifi flash, but it remains in the opposite state with the power flashing and the wifi lit. What does this mean? What should I do?
