Hello, Please let me know that how to trick Epson ink cartridges. I bought this printer few week ago. But now facing some issue. Help me.
There are a variety of printers available in the market, few offering the basic features while others coming with the advanced ones. Fortunately, Epson inkjet printers come equipped with an internal metering system that alerts the user when the printer cartridges are running low from its threshold value.
The first part to trick Epson ink cartridges is to properly shake the inserted ink cartridges which can be done as follows:
Step 1: Firstly, raise the Epson printer cover while its power is turned ON. Next, you need to wait to allow the ink carriage to stop sliding back and forth.
Step 2: Secondly, remove all the connected printing cartridges by squeezing the tabs on the short ends of each cartridge and lifting them out straight.
Step 3: Now, turn off your printer and wait for it to shut down completely. You can unplug and remove the printer from the power source. Then, wait for at least five minutes for the printer memory to reset back to its original state.
Step 4: Gently shake each of the cartridges for a few seconds to redistribute the ink inside.
Step 5: You can now reinstall the ink cartridges in the same order as each was removed. So, this step will restore power to the printer.
The next part to trick Epson ink cartridges is to reset them into their actual positions. Once, after removing the printer cartridges, you must check the end of a cartridge where the copper contacts are found. As on some models, there is a reset button provided which is located above the contacts at the center.
So, you can press the reset button with the help of a paper-clip end or another sharp object of a similar size. After you reset each of the cartridges, you can then replace them and the printer should accept them as if they are newly inserted.
Smart Tip: The nozzle system used in the printer housing underneath the print cartridges should be thoroughly cleaned using a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. Moreover, do make sure that the alcohol evaporates completely before reinstalling the cartridges back again into the system.
With this feature, the user gets to know prior to the occurrence of low ink issues. As a consequence, the microchip automatically shuts off the printer until the cartridge is replaced with a new one.
In most cases, the problem is that the Epson owners think that their cartridge still has plenty of ink, perhaps as much as 25 percent. Thereby, assuming that the ink could be used for printing before buying any sorts of expensive replacements. Now, what can be the solution for this? Well, the user can trick Epson ink cartridges. With this tact, the printer thinks that a new ink cartridge has been installed into the printer so the remaining ink can be used.
Hope this step by step guide to trick Epson ink cartridges is helpful for the users.
