HP Officejet Pro 8600 won't Scan -

Restart PC and HP Printer 

First, turn off all devices and then restore the connection between HP printer and computer by making a fresh restart. Various times, a simple restart proves helpful in troubleshooting HP printer won’t scan issues.

Install HP Driver 

For installing HP driver, navigate to “httpss://123.hp.com”. After opening HP official website, enter your printer’s model and then go through the on-screen instructions to download and complete the HP printer setup.

Verify HP Printer uses HP Driver 

If you have set up your HP printer with AirPrint then definitely you will experience scanning issues. For hassle-free scanning, use HP printer driver instead of AirPrint. For changing Airprint to HP printer driver -

1. For changing Airprint to HP printer driver, navigate to System Preferences> Printers & Scanners.
2. After this, note down printer’s name that is present next to “Kind”.
3. If AirPrint is present in the name then remove the printer by clicking on minus sign in the Printers pane.
4. After this, click on plus sign to add your printer. Once you add the printer, select your printer’s name from the Use menu for setting up the printer with HP driver.

HP Printer won’t Scan Enable to Computer Connection 

For enabling the connection in HP utility, navigate to Printers & Scanners window. After this, click on Options & Supplies> Utility > Scan to computer.
