Hello, Please let me know that how to configure Brother printer using PIN method of Wi-Fi protected setup. Help me.
Are you using a wireless router that supports PIN method of Wi-Fi protected setup? If yes, then that would be the easiest way to configure your Brother printer machine. PIN here refers to the personal identification number method, which is one of the methods of connection that have been created by Wi-Fi alliance.
By putting in the personal identification number that has been created by your Brother printer machine to a device, which manages the wireless LAN, you can configure the Wi-Fi network and security settings. Take a look at the user’s guide to learn how to access the Wi-Fi protected setup mode.
Step 1: Power on your machine by connecting it to the electrical outlet.
Step 2: Select Menu that is given on the Control Panel of your Brother Printer machine.
Step 3: Select Up or Down arrow for choosing the network. Then, click on OK.
Step 4: Use Up or Down arrow for using WLAN
Step 5: Use Up or Down arrow for selecting Personal Identification Number code.
Step 6: The LCD screen will show an 8 digit long Personal Identification Number.
Step 7: On the computer system that is connected to the wireless network, launch an internet browser and enter the IP address of your router in the location bar. Go to the settings page of Wi-Fi protected setup and enter the 8-digit personal identification number displayed on the LCD screen to the registrar and then follow the instructions appearing on the screen. Generally, the registrar is either the access point or the router.
Step 8: If the LCD screen of your brother printer machine shows connected, then that means your Brother printer is successfully connected to the wireless router. In case, it shows connection failed, then that means there is no connection between your router and Brother printer.
Step 1: Launch the Start menu and then go to network and then select add a wireless device. In case you are a Windows 7 user, then go to the Start menu and then control panel, then to Network and Internet and then Add a wireless device to the network.
Step 2: Select your printer machine and then click on Next.
Step 3: Enter the personal identification number from the printed page and then select Next.
Step 4: Select the network that you wish to connect your device to and then select Next.
Step 5: After that, select close.
Step 1: Power on your printer machine by connecting it to the electrical outlet.

Step 3: Select Network.
Step 4: After that, press the button of WLAN.
Step 5: Press the up arrow or down arrow button to display the Personal Identification Number or WPS code.
Step 6: On your LCD screen, you will see an 8-digit personal identification number and then your Brother Printer will start looking for the router in 5 minutes.
Step 7: On your mobile device or tab, open the internet browser and enter the IP address of your router in it. Here the IP address of the router is actually the IP address of the mobile device or tablet that you are using. Go to the settings page of the wireless-protected setup and enter the PIN number that the LCD screen displayed. After that, follow the directions appearing on the screen.
Step 8: If your LCD screen displays connected, then that means your Brother printer machine is connected to your access point or router. Now, you will be able to print wirelessly using your Brother printer machine.
Step 9: After that, press the close button.
For Windows users: If you are done with the wireless network setup and if you wish to continue installing the software and drivers, which are necessary to work on the device. Either select Initial installation/install MFL-Pro suite or /install MFL-Pro suite from the CD-ROM menu.
For Mac users: If you are done with the wireless network setup and you wish to further install the software and drivers to operate your device, then select Start Here OSX from the CD ROM menu.
