Brother MFC-9130 printer is a wireless color printer. This multi-functional printer can easily satisfy all your small office needs. When you remove the packaging and take out your printer, you connect a USB wire to the USB port of your printer.

Below are the simple steps that you need to perform in order to set up your Brother MFC-9130CW printer for the first time. 

Step 1: Before you insert the installation disc, you must make sure that no programs are running on your system. 

Step 2: The installation will begin automatically. In case it does not start on its own, then you must go to the official website of Brother and then download the latest version. 

Step 3: You are available with 2 connection choices. One is the local connection through USB and the other one is the wireless connection. You can select the first option if you don't have a wireless network. In case you have a wireless network connection, then you should go for the second method. 

Step 4: When the installation detects antivirus or firewall, you need to choose the option of "Change the firewall port settings to enable network connection and continue with the installation".

• Status Monitor
• Network Printer Driver
• Remote Setup

If you wish to receive and send a fax, then you can use the PC-FAX Sending and PC-FAX receiving features. 

Step 1: Click on the Yes option if you wish to use the Scan function on your system.

Step 2: After the "Scan to" menu opens up, the next thing that you need to do is to enter the name you want. Select ENABLE and enter the PIN number for protection. 

Step 3: Now, go to the network search type and choose the option of "Search the network for devices and select from a list of discovered devices". Please ensure that your laptops, tabs, and smartphones are connected to the wireless network. 

Step 4: Choose the model name of your device as the machine that you wish to install. 

Step 5: Click on the button "Finish" when the installation gets completed. Now, reboot your PC for the changes from the printer setup.
