How to Fix HP Printhead Error?

Hello, I found HP printhead error on printer screen. I don't know how to fix this HP Printhead Error. Please give my idea to resolve this problem.

Fix HP Printhead Error :

There is a chance that your printer is not able to print properly. There can be several reasons responsible for HP printhead error but one of them is print head getting clogged because of the dry ink.

In case, you have not cleaned the dry ink from the print head, then more and more dry ink will get accumulated in the print head resulting in print head getting completely clogged.

If you are a user of HP printer, then you have got nothing to worry as HP printers have a self cleansing feature that can remove the clogs on the printheads but if the clogs are severe, then in that case you will be required to clean the print head manually.

Steps for Self Cleaning Dried Ink Causing HP Printhead Error

Step 1: It is important for you to ensure that your printer is turned on. Hold the power button and the cancel button together at the same time in order to choose the required level of cleaning.

Step 2: To remove HP printhead error, Select the button of cleaning only one time for the first level of cleaning. Now, click the button of cancel two times. After that, click on the button of resume for moving on to the second level of cleaning.

In order to be able to use the third level of cleaning, you need to press the resume button. Also, you will have to press the button of cancel three times.

Step 3: Leave the power button of your printer. Your printer will start performing the procedure of self cleaning. Then, it will take a print out of the page of configuration. Take a look at the page carefully and ensure that there aren’t any errors associated with the print quality.

Manual Cleaning Process to Get Rid of HP Printhead Error

Step 1: First of all, switch on your HP printer. Wait for some time for the carriage holding printer cartridge to move to the center position. Now, disconnect the power cord from the power source.

Step 2: Open the access door of the printer and then take out the print heads.

Step 3: Use a microfiber cloth and then clean your printhead’s contact points. Please ensure that the ink buildup has been removed completely. You must not make the mistake of wiping the nozzles, which are placed underside of your print head.

Step 4: Now, to get rid of HP printhead error, take a cotton swab and dip it in distilled water. Now, clean the ink residue in a gentle manner from the contact points of your print head. Now, dip another cotton swab in the water.

Step 5: Now, using that cotton clean the contact points of print head that are inside the printer. Please ensure that all the clogged ink has been removed.

Now, wait for at least 15 minutes, so that the cleaned areas start drying up. Now, insert the printheads again and shut the access door of your printer. After that, reconnect the power cord to a power source. If still there are issues with the print quality, then you must buy a replacement printhead.
