NOTE: The setting page is different for different routers which depends on the router’s brand. If you are using a Windows Vista computer as a registrar, you have to follow the instructions below.
NOTE: For using a Windows Vista computer as the registrar, you are required to register your network in advance.
- In Windows Vista, click on the network and then choose the option to add a wireless device.
- In Windows 7, click on the control panel then select network and internet, and then choose to add a wireless device to the network.
- Then choose your machine and click on the Next button.
- Now you need to input the 8-digit pin from the printed page and then click on the Next button.
- Choose your network with which you want to connect and then click on the next.
- Click on the close button.
Step 8: If your LCD shows connected, your machine is connected successfully to your router. you can use your machine in a wireless network.
If the LCD shows a connection failed option, the machine is not connected successfully to your router. You need to make an attempt again in another 5 seconds. If you are getting the same message from the machine, you have to perform a hard reset operation with its default settings and try this whole process again.
For Windows: you have completed the wireless network setup, and if you would like to continue installing the driver and necessary software for operating the device, you have to choose to install MLF-pro suit from the CD ROM and for MAC, you have to choose to start OS X from the CD ROM.
Method 2: For the Touch Screen Model to Find the WPS Pin on the Brother Printer
Step 1: First, turn on the machine by supplying power to the Brother printer.
Step 2: Tap on the menu option.
Step 3: Press the network option.
Step 4: Press the WLAN option.
